The new 13-inch Macbook is powered by 2.0GHz or 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 3MB on-chip shared L2 cache running 1:1 with processor speed, 2GB (two 1GB SO-DIMMs) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM; two SO-DIMM slots support up to 4GB and comes with 13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen display with support for millions of colors, 8x slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD-R DL/DVD-RW/CD-RW), illuminated keyboard and 160GB or 250GB hard drive.

Neither MacBook has a button on the trackpad, the new trackpad doubles up as a button, just press down anywhere. Gmail - Now with Mp3’s…player included

October 13, 2008

By now everyone you know has a Gmail account and most likely they do not use all of the allotted storage. We suggest using your/new 7GB Gmail account for MP3 storage.

Try this out:

- Create a new Gmail account by sending yourself an invite. A fresh account is recommended for this particular purpose.

- Open your new Gmail account and email an Mp3 to yourself as an attachment. It will then show up in your inbox. Click on your newly received email and click the “play” button to open Google’s built-in Mp3 player.

Now that you know that it works, from this point forward you should always include the artist, title, album with each mp3 that you would like to store on Gmail servers. This way you can always quickly find the song you’re looking for.

Leaked HTC T8290 - Mmmmm…A 3.8-inch display

October 12, 2008

Here’s to hoping that a provider other than Telus offers this particular HTC to Canadians!

It looks like the touch diamond, smells like the diamond and may as well be the diamond. However, this sexy looking phone has a larger 3.8-inch touchscreen with an astonishing 800×480 WVGA resolution.

Rumours indicate that it is a GSM & WiMax device, with the obvious amenities such as, WiFi & Bluetooth.

Xbox 360’s Dashboard overhaul - November 19th

October 9, 2008

For all of you waiting on the release date for Xbox 360’s creepy avatar dashboard, look no further. It has been announced that we will be able to play, create and scroll around with the new software on November 19th, 2008.

The design looks promising, yet extremely juvenile. We just wonder what MS was thinking when they decided on this route. Considering most 360 gamers are 20 - 25.

However, who are we to complain; the dashboard did need a graphical update since day one.

Ford’s key to controlling Teen drivers

October 7, 2008

Posted by Candace Lombardi on CNet

Ford Motor has found a new way for parents to keep teen drivers in check when they lend them the car, the company said Monday.

MyKey, a car key with a chip, can be programmed to curtail the top speed of its user to 80 mph.

The MyKey will come standard with the 2010 Focus coupe and eventually will be available on other Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models, according to Ford.

In addition to implementing a speed limit, the key can be used to limit the volume of the car stereo system and emit a chime for six seconds every five minutes until the driver puts on a seatbelt.

MyKey can also be programmed to chime once each time the car reaches 45 mph, 55 mph, and 65 mph to alert young drivers about their acceleration.

Another feature, useful to anyone who fails to notice when the fuel light goes on, chimes when the car is 75 miles from empty. (The light on a Ford usually goes on at 50 miles to empty.)
