Microsoft comes clean with 360 Price drop
July 13, 2008

By now everyone has heard that the 360 has indeed received a price drop for the 20GB model. However, Microsoft has finally come clean and has given a reason for this…
The new pricepoint, isn’t a new pricepoint! It’s MS’sway of selling off the remaining 20GB models to make room for the new 60GB sku. Expect to pay $349 for the new sku. And the 20GB is available at $299, while supplies last.
Priced at $299.00 it’s hard to resist picking one up (if you don’t have one already). Although it’s a good way to get a cheap 360 with a HDD. Just remember that 20GB just isn’t enough for live these days. With downloadable movies, arcade games, game clips and Xbox originals you’ll run through the 12GB (available for use on the 20GB) pretty quickly. It may be worth your $50 to wait until the 60GB is available.
Nvidia’s GTX 280 - Price Plunge
July 5, 2008
Launched not more than a few weeks ago, Nvidia’s GTX 280 is said to be receiving a price-drop.
Why? Well, it looks like AMD’s cheap and powerful HD 4800 has them second guessing their dominance. And there’s no better way to gain a few extra enthusiasts than by dropping the price to match the competition.
The card is said to be dipping to as low as $499. Of course, this is pure speculation but it doesn’t seem to be too far fetched.
So, if you’re considering the GTX 280 it may be in your best interest to hold off for a couple of weeks.
Rumorbag: Xbox 360 To get a Blu-Ray drive
June 8, 2008

This is just a rumor but Microsoft is said to announce a Blu-Ray version of the 360 tomorrow morning at 9am PDT. Most likely to steal some of the spotlight off of Apple tomorrow.
The new SKU is slated to be shipping by Christmas and will supposedly cost less than an Elite.
Sounds great but also annoying! Hey guys, how about we ditch conventional media and follow through with DLC?
Update1: MS’s Robbie Bach denies rumors on SFgate.com
Q: So no plans for Blu-ray in the next generation Xbox?
A: No. There is nothing to even talk about right now with regard to the next generation. That is so far out that there isn’t anything to talk about.
Duke Nukem Forever - Gameplay Footage ‘08
June 8, 2008

Jason Hall, on June 4th, visited 3D Realms.
“The Jace Hall Show episodes will be weekly recurring, each about five minutes long. Most people remember that Jace Hall was a founder and CEO of Monolith Studios (Blood, Tron, No One Lives Forever, Condemed, F.E.A.R.), and then became head of Warner Bros. Interactive Studios”
This isn’t exactly the most entertaining or interesting video but it does show some “Real” Duke Nukem Forever gameplay footage that we have all been waiting for.
Although you can see it, don’t get your hopes up just yet. Remember, we saw gameplay footage back in 1998 and nothing came of it.
Are you excited to kick-ass and chew bubble gum?
Bioshock - No longer a Xbox 360 & PC exclusive
June 1, 2008

2K Games officially that BioShock will in fact be ported over to the PlayStation 3, and will arrive this October. Not only is the game coming, which PS3 owners should be happy enough about, but it will also contain additional content that has yet to be revealed; perhaps some new plasmids?
Christoph Hartman, President of 2K, commented on the announcement saying: “Since BioShock for Xbox 360 and Games for Windows won countless 2007 Game of the Year awards, we are excited to see the impact of this stellar title for the PlayStation 3 system when it debuts this fall.”
Bioshock was released in August of 2007 for both Xbox 360 and PC, shortly afterwards receiving rave reviews, multiple awards, and positive praise from pretty much everyone
