Well,
I’m bad at keeping in touch when I take off on these long trips, so I thought I’d start a different trend early… blogging here I come.
BC was awesome.. Flew out there about 2 and a half weeks ago and was picked up from the airport by another former Torontonian David Shearer. From there, I was dropped off in his apt, and drank a bottle of his wine in celebration of the adventures to come. Later in the day, David, Kate, Derek, Mark (Dave housemate) Kris, and Craig arrived, and of course Geoff Sanz was out there doing a hospital placement. Despite how tired we all were (more me I guess) we managed to grace The Cayote that night.. an ill (more literally than ebonically) club down the street.
Well, then it was straight off to Washington the next morning. Just inside the US border we met up with more friends including the other friendly Austrian/Canadian: Chris, and girlfriend Vitoria. From there, to Mount Baker. Man. What a beautiful drive (pic).. I almost forgot what nature looked like.. not Toronto nature.. I mean REAL woods and rivers.
