The stunning vertical and horizontal 360° degree sound dispersion open-baffle Coliseum XLS was inspired by a concert grand piano. This loudspeaker system represents a new level in artistry visually and sonically delivering the feeling and dynamics of live music.
The XLS features two 7″ E7 reference drivers with two high-frequency tweeters per channel that provides a 20% improvement in clarity, speed and refinement over the Coliseum XL. The bass is also improved with the Z8 bass system; it provides more control and 40% improvement in bass impact than the Coliseum XL
Driver Options: Add an additional 35% improvement in clarity, speed and refinement over the standard drivers with the 7″ HD-V1 world-class drivers which includes two 7″ and two high-frequency tweeters per channel. This option adds $12,000
Z8 Acoustic Bass System: The Z8 bass system features two world-class 8″ woofers per channel that performs at a new standard in effortless dynamics and headroom. The bass and drums are accurately performed even with demanding and difficult music to reproduce like up tempo jazz, blues, rock and dynamic classical music arrangements.
The Coliseum XLS can be ordered in a 3 way system with Q8 dual mid-bass in the front towers and a rear Z12 bass system featuring dual world-class 12″ woofers per channel to accommodate large listening rooms for an additional $20,000

LaLa.com – Innovation in Media
January 27, 2008
Founded by – Bill Nguyen, Billy Alvarado, Anselm Baird-Smith, and John Cogan III, LaLa is not your average music store.
According to LaLa.com, they officially launched the most extensive music store (Ever) on March 6th, 2006. Allowing users to download entire CDs for a measly $1.00 during their BETA period. Which was obviously extremely successful.
Unlike every other online music store, LaLa’s Preview system is the best that I’ve ever seen. Allowing visitors to listen to entire tracks and CDs before purchasing. Everywhere else = 5-30 second samples.
Because you can never tell at a glance….

Users also have the option to purchase physical CDs or the digital format version. If you enjoy music, like to hold down the man (iTunes) and want to try something new and innovative make sure to check out LaLa.com

ipod recording with the Xtrememac!

XtremeMac Ipod Recorder

Finally, a portable recording solution that integrates into your everyday life without any extra gadgets or power supplies and cables! For the commuter, the public transit user, or the “quick…record it before I forget it” like me, the XtremeMac Ipod recorder is a welcomed innovation! Can you tell I love it? even before I’ve used it? Not at all obvious!
The recorder plugs into the bottom of the ipod (with video, and nano 2G)and seamlessly integrates with it. It has a built in speaker, as well as a standard 1/8” mini (3.5mm) stereo jack. Included is a flexible mini goose neck type microphone that can be detached from the unit. You may choose to use a line in signal from your computer sound card, or from any other low level input source. There is a line and mic input selector switch to handle the impedance and input levels. You may also purchase a lapel microphone, or use a different condenser microphone. I find it especially useful for recording a band, my lyrics or memo’s. The included mic can be easily propped up and ready to record anything.
The included microphone records in mono with two quality settings. The specs are here
